Welcome to Veterans Administration Ghana (VAG)

The Veterans Administration, Ghana traces its roots from the name Gold Coast Legion. The Gold Coast Legion was the creation of an establishment by the British Colonial Administration to seek and protect the interest and well being of the demobilized troops who fought side by side the Allied Forces in the 1st and 2nd World Wars of 1914 and 1939 respectively.

It was officially established in 1944 as a branch of the British Empire Services League now Royal Commonwealth Ex-Service League (RCEL).

The name Veterans Administration has thus undergone a few name changes; from the Gold Coast Legion, Ghana Legion, Veterans Association of Ghana and very recently to Veterans Administration, Ghana.
